Linkin Park adalah grup musik beraliran nu metal yang berasal dari Aguora Hills, California, di Amerika Serikat. Sejak kemunculan album perdana mereka pada tanggal 24 Oktober 2000, Linkin Park telah merilis 3 album studio, yaitu Hybrid Theory, Meteora, dan Minutes to Midnight. Linkin Park sukses dalam mempopulerkan lagu-lagunya seperti Crawling, In the End, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, dan What I've Done. Secara total, album-album Linkin Park telah terjual sebanyak 50 juta keping.

Pada tanggal 25 Maret 2003, band yang beranggotakan Chester Bennington (vokal), Rob Bourdon (drum), Brad Delson (gitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joseph Hahn (turntable, sampling) dan Mike Shinoda (backing vocal, sampling, rap, keyboard, gitar) ini merilis album kedua mereka berjudul “Meteora”. Album ini juga meraih kesuksesan dengan penjualan kira-kira 11 juta kopi. Singelnya adalah Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Numb, From the Inside, Lying from You, dan Breaking the Habit.

Untuk single Somewhere I Belong, Linkin Park menulis lebih dari 40 variasi reff yang berbeda untuk mendapatkan suara yang baik.
