Celine Dion adalah salah seorang penyanyi wanita tersukses dalam sejarah musik pop dunia. Sepanjang perjalanan kariernya, Celine telah menerima banyak penghargaan diantaranya: 5 Grammy Awards, 12 World Music Awards, 7 American Music Awards, 7 Billboard Music Awards, 21 Juno Awards dan 39 Felix Awards.

Setelah sempat menghilang selama 3 tahun yang disebabkan karena suaminya menderita kanker tenggorokan dan kemudian Celine Dion sendiri melahirkan anak pertamanya yang bernama René-Charles pada tahun 2001 yang lalu, akhirnya Celine Dion kembali dengan albumnya yang berjudul A New Day Has Come.

Rilis di bulan Maret 2002, album yang berisi hits diantaranya "A New Day Has Come", "I'm Alive", and "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)", ini langsung melejit ke posisi 1 di tangga album Billboard 200 dan terjual sebayak 558.000 keping di minggu pertamanya di Amerika. Total penjualan album ini di seluruh dunia mencapai lebih dari 9,5 juta keping.
